Bleach Raincoat is the alternative rock project of Jeff Salak, a songwriter whoโs been crafting and recording music since his early high school days in 2010. His music can be seen as drawing heavy influence from bands like Weezer, Tigers Jaw, and The Front Bottoms, his sound blends a catchy and emotionally honest songwriting with his DIY spirit.
With his new EP set to be released on April 24 he makes sure to not keep you waiting for another song to fall in love with. This EP will be featuring songs written during his time in Seattle, but we wonโt give too many spoiler untill the release.
Bleach Raincoat continues to build momentum as an artist, exclusively sharing his plans for additional EPs in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 here on Playlistsforyou.com
Which part of making music gives you the most satisfaction?
For Salak, the most rewarding part of the process is watching a simple voice memo evolve into a fully realized track. His music pairs personal, real-life-inspired lyrics with just enough openness for listeners to find their own stories within, aiming above all to create the same sense of enjoyment for listeners that he finds in his personal process of making it. An ideal listener could relate to his lyrics/stories he sings about.
Team Playlistsforyou really enjoyed his latest song, we specifically loved the more gritty guitar melodies in his 2026 release: "Just Like Live at Budokan". This song mixes the guitar well with a more distant vocals style.
